Gratitude, Compliment, and Congratulation




GRATITUDE (thanking)
Is expression when people give you some help you do something, wish you something and give a compliment.

The expression is :
• Thank you very much
• Thank you for your help
• I am really very gratefull to you

Respond :
• You are welcome
• Don’t mention it
• It’s a pleasure
• My pleasure

Example :

Leon : Rhin, your shoes is very nice.
Rhin : Oh,thank you!

Phita : You look charming today.
Chi : Oh yeah? Really? Thanks.
Eten : Congratulation ! You passed in the examination , you got A.
Muel : Very nice, thanks good.




COMPLIMENT
Is use to “ butter up” somebody or flatter in order to increase good coil.


Example :

• On his / her general appearance
• It you notice something new about the person’s appearance
• When you visit someone’s house for the first time
• When other people do their best.


Always compliment or congratulate your friends when they succeed doing something or wear something nice.


Expressions :

Is an expression that we use to give the congratulation utterance when she / he succeeds in doing something and special moment.

• Merry Christmas
• Happy new year
• Happy lebaran day / happy led


Example :

Mother : Merry Chirstmas , baby….!
Bella : Oh…… Thank you mom!!!!





Surprise and Disbeliefs



SURPRISE

Is an expressing that is used to express feeling on something surprising.

Expression :
• Really..!
• Really, it is surprising that…
• This is really a surprise
• What?? Good heaven!
• Oh, My God!
• Are you sure??
• I don’t believe it…
Etc…


Example :

Vierny : Do you still remember Litha, our friend in class SMA?
She is a Doctor now.
Clarey : Wow! Are you sure?? She didn’t like study natural science or chemistry
when she was in SMA, did she? Are you sure?? The underlined expression is
expression surprise.


DISBELIEF

Is kind of don’t beliefes expression about something

Expression :

• I don’t believe that!
• I don’t believe you
• It’s not true
• It’s unbelievable
• That’s impossible
• I can’t believe that
• I’am never trust you!

Example :

Nandy : Tracy gor the second rank in our class, you know?
Ray : What?? The strange girl? It’s unbelievable!

EXPRESS SURPRISE OR DISBELIEF

Is used to express something that we can’t belief or impossible, or
Is an expressing that is used to express feeling on something surprising or disbelief.

Expression :

• What a surprise!
• That’s surprise!
• Well, that’s very surprising
• Really?
• Are you serious? You must be joking.
• You are kidding.
• Fancy that!
• I find that hard to believe


Example :

Gitta : What a surprise!
Donna : What happens?
Gitta : Sam, the Linda’s brother is singing at “The Dream Boys”
Donna : Ouh, I find that hard to believe!
